If you are ready to work on your surfing skills and visit some beautiful sandy beaches in the area of Porto, our private surf lessons in Vila Nova de Gaia will allow you to do so in a safe and professional environment. By choosing a private lesson, you will reach your goals faster. Our professional instructors will be happy to introduce you to one of the most famous water sports, whether you are a beginner or you already have some experience and want to learn some new tricks.
We teach to adults and children from the age of 8 years old, we choose the beach we will surf on depending on your level and the tides. The maximum number of participants in our private lessons is 3 people per instructor.
Meeting & Preparation
Since our meeting point depends on the beach we will be surfing on, we will contact you to let you know the exact meeting place before your lesson. If you are staying in Porto, we offer a free transfer service to come and pick you up from a designated meeting point, which will be shared with you before your lesson and then bring you back from the beach afterward. On the day of your surf class, you will meet your instructor and receive the equipment, which will be based on your age and your experience. You can get changed and store your personal belongings in our van.
Start time
The start time depends on the tides to ensure the best conditions, so please plan some extra time on the day of your surf lessons. The exact start times are available in advance. We will inform you in time after you have completed the booking.

Do I need to be a good swimmer, and what's the minimum age?
You need to have basic swimming ability and be in good physical health. The minimum age for this activity is 8 years.
Why can the time of my lesson change, and how big is the group?
The start time is scheduled according to the tides to ensure the best surfing conditions. These are private lessons with a maximum of 3 participants per instructor.
Is equipment included, and what do I need to bring?
A wetsuit and a surfboard are included in the price. You should bring your own swimwear, a towel and a bottle of water.
Is a transfer included and where do we meet?
A free transfer service from a designated meeting point in Porto to the beach and back is included. The exact meeting point will be shared with you before the lesson, as it depends on the beach chosen for the day.
What will I learn during the lesson?
The lesson covers basic surfing techniques, an introduction to the equipment, and safety instructions. You will also practise how to stand up on the board and paddle in the water.
Where can I change and store my belongings?
You can get changed and leave your personal belongings in the provider's van.
