You want exclusive surfing lessons with a friend and a coach? We offer you a private surf course at Praia do Norte at the beautiful Costa da Caparica with a 2-1-coaching. Our instructors are all certified by Portuguese Surfing Federation and help you to catch the first waves if you are a beginner. Do you already have first skills? Our team will help you to improve them. Therefore, the course is perfect for beginners as well as intermediates. The private course is suitable for children and adults from 8 years old who prefer personal attention. You can look forward to an unforgettable surfing experience and discover great surf spots at the Praia do Norte.
Meeting & Preparation
We meet you at our surf school's on the Praia do Norte. there is plenty of parking space available for those who come by car. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of your course to have enough time to change. You can put your clothes and valuables in a room which will be locked. We will hand out the equipment and head to the beach together for the session.
Start time
The start time depends on the tides to ensure the best conditions, so please plan some extra time on the day of your surf lessons. The exact start times are available 1-3 days in advance. We will inform you in time after you have completed the booking.
Course content
- Theory session on the beach with a short safety summary
- The right warm-up to be ready for the waves
- Instruction and practice on the beach on how to paddle and stand up on the board
- Practice in the water for about 90 minutes
Surfing beginners at our school are typically able to:
- After 2 hours: almost everybody is able to stand up on the surfboard after the two-hour session
Please note that everyone's learning progress is different, as some people learn quicker than others.

Do I need to be a good swimmer, and what's the minimum age?
You need to have basic swimming ability to participate. The minimum age for this course is 8 years.
Why can the time of my lesson change, and how big is the group?
The start time is adjusted to the tides to ensure the best surfing conditions. The exact time will be confirmed 1-3 days beforehand. These are semi-private lessons with 2 participants per instructor.
Is equipment included, and what do I need to bring?
