Get a unique insight into the subaquatic world around the Azores while snorkeling with one of our experienced guides. Starting from Horta we head to the best snorkeling spots of the island by boat. Your local experts will give you lots of insights into the history as well as the marine flora and fauna that can be found within the volcanic underwater landscape. Get ready for an unforgettable trip into a hidden world full of fascinating creatures and rock formations!
Dive Area
Snorkeling around the island of Faial is a real pleasure, thanks to good visibility and a wide variety of marine life. At various snorkeling sites, volcanic formations and small caves offer the perfect habitat for many animals, including barracudas, conger and moray eels, sea horses, wrasses and black corals. We select the best spot for your adventure according to the conditions of the sea, as well as your preferences and previous experience.
Programme- Meeting & Preparation:
We meet at our diving centre located in the Faial Resort Hotel in Horta, where plenty of free parking space is available. Here you meet your guides, receive the snorkeling equipment and can use the changing rooms. As soon as everybody is ready, we head to our semi-rigid diving boat "Lioti" in the port of Horta.
- Diving:
At the snorkeling spot, our experienced guides will give you an introduction to the particularities of the underwater world you are about to explore. Thanks to helpful tips and tricks provided by the experts, you will learn how to safely handle the snorkeling equipment in no time. After one hour of snorkeling take a break on board of our boat and have a light lunch, before we set out for another hour of exploring.
- Return:
We return to the diving centre between 1 and 2 pm. Here you can change and clean your equipment.
