The PADI Scuba Diver course is ideal if you want to get the first taste of diving and consider going diving again in the future, but are short on time. This program can be completed within 2 days and allows you to discover the fascinating underwater world of Faial Island while gaining your first scuba diving certification. Come along, discover the unique volcanic landscape of the Azores and meet all kinds of subaquatic creatures!
Goal of the course
Within this program, you learn all the necessary skills needed to dive up to 12m deep under the supervision of a certified diving professional. We teach you the right handling of scuba equipment in our pool before you are ready to experience your first open water dives. You will receive access to the PADI e-learning material in advance and can complete the knowledge development sessions online. In this way, you have more time to focus on practical skills while you are in the diving centre. If you want to continue your diving education afterwards, you can start right where you left off in your PADI Scuba Diver course and complete the Open Water Diver certification in only two days
Meeting & Preparation
We meet at our diving centre located in the Faial Resort Hotel in Horta, where plenty of free parking space is available. Here you meet your guides, receive the diving equipment and can use the changing rooms. As soon as everybody is ready, we start the course with a short theoretical introduction.
