Spend a full day in one of the most exciting landscapes of Styria during our rafting tour on the Salza river. This unique region with its beautiful landscapes is best admired from your rafting boat.
A mighty battle between the forces of nature awaits you as you make your way along the emerald river in all its glory. Rafting is all about team work and together with friends or family, this activity can be enjoyed to the fullest. Accompanied by one of our professional guides, you’re always well taken care of. The perfect way to end your adventure is by enjoying an optional barbecue at the base to relax.
Tour programme- Preparation:
The meeting point for this tour is our base at the camping site in Palfau. There you’ll receive our most modern rafting equipment before we’ll take you to the starting point of the tour.
- Tour:
After a short safety instruction from our state-certified guides, we’ll start right off into the white water river. You’ll continue to manoeuvre through the emerald river until we pause for a big snack on the river’s shore. Once you have restored your energy, we'll get back at it and continue the descent.
- Return:
After an exciting descent, we will arrive at the point of exit. From there, we’ll take you back to our base, where you can have a hot shower and relax.

It was fine day on the river. Pretty low water level, but we had smaller 4-seats rafts. We scent the best part of the Salsa river with very nice scenery around. The lunch was simple but tasty. Guides were not so interactive. I'm not the one who would miss it, but some people would need more fun and more talks and actions. The equipment was clean and good.

It was very nice trip. As we dont speak german, we got an amazing guide originally from Tahiti who speak english very well. Whole trip was a big fun, it is only shame it does not last longer.
I personally expected little more action, but river water level was very low, about 1m bellow standard level.
Deep Roots Adventures Palfau will be definitelly our choice again for rafting there next time.
