While stand up paddling on the Isar river you can discover the Bavarian landscape close to Munich from a completely new perspective. Together with friends or family members, you will experience an ideal combination of action and relaxation on calmer passages. Accompanied by an experienced guide, you will prove your sense of balance while paddling along the river and find out what makes this trendy sport from Hawaii so popular all over the world.
Tour programme- Preparation:
We meet at our base in Lenggries, directly at the Isar river (parking available). You can also take the train, the train station is about 10 minutes by foot from our base. On site, you will meet your guide, receive your wetsuit and can use the changing rooms. For valuables, there are lockers at your disposal. As soon as everybody is ready, we will start the tour on the Isar right in front of our doorstep.
- Tour:
After a brief safety introduction, you can practice paddling in a quiet pool and familiarize yourself with the SUP. As soon as everybody feels safe, we follow the Isar river through the beautiful river landscape. Along the way, you will find quiet passages and more challenging waves that require concentration and balance. If you don't think you can manage to paddle while standing up, you can also do so sitting down.
- Return:
After 11 km and about 3 hours on the river, we reach the end point. From here, we take you back to the base where you can use our garden shower and change your clothes. You are also free to enjoy some traditional food in the restaurants nearby.
