Kids Snowboarding Lessons (7-16 y.) for All Levels - St. Johann-Alpendorf

What to Expect

Give your child aged 7 to 16 an unforgettable snowboarding experience with our small-group lessons in Alpendorf, led by experienced and certified instructors. Nestled right next to the slope in the heart of the Alpendorf ski area – St. Johann im Pongau, this picturesque resort offers a perfect setting for young snowboarders to learn and grow. With a variety of slopes and modern facilities, Alpendorf is renowned for its family-friendly atmosphere and stunning alpine views.

The lesson begins with a warm welcome from our certified children’s snowboard instructors, who take the time to assess each participant’s skill level. This ensures a tailored experience that meets the needs of every child. Our small groups of a maximum of 6 participants allow for individual attention, making sure your child feels supported and confident on the snow. The first part of the lesson focuses on basic skills such as balance and control, which are crucial for safe snowboarding. Our instructors make these fundamental skills engaging and accessible, laying a solid foundation for more advanced techniques.

As the lesson progresses over approximately 2 hours, your child will venture onto the beginner-friendly slopes of Alpendorf. Here, they will learn to execute their first turns and become comfortable with their equipment. The focus then shifts to refining their technique, with a special emphasis on parallel skiing and tackling steeper slopes. Our instructors are committed to providing continuous support, ensuring a positive and memorable learning experience. With our promise of individual support from consultation to course completion, your child’s snowboarding journey is in expert hands.

Meeting Time

We meet at the top station of the Gernkogelbahn – 6-seater chairlift to Kreistenalm, 15 minutes before the start of the lesson.

Please do not take the gondola; use the 6-seater chairlift instead

Alternatively, you can drop off your child at 09:00 at one of our SnowWorld ski rental shops. Our instructors will take the children to the ski area. Since the drop-off takes place at the shop, parents do not need a ski pass

Ski Pass

All participants need a ski pass from the first day of the lessons. You can buy your ski pass at the ski lift ticket office or online before the first lesson.

Please be aware that you need a ski pass to take your kid to the meeting point.

In order to not lose time at the beginning of your lesson, please buy your ski pass in advance.

Good to Know

• For the Christmas holidays & school holidays in February, we recommend you book early in advance due to high demand

• Snowboard equipment not included in the lessons

• Please make sure your kid has a snowboard, snowboard boots, helmet, gloves & sunglasses or goggles at the start of the lesson

• During our courses we are always wearing a helmet

• It is possible to switch between different skill levels during the course if a participant's abilities improve quickly

• The maximum group size is 6 participants per group
