Depending on the snow conditions, we will use snowshoes, gliding snowshoes or backcountry skis to navigate the terrain. Our journey begins with an exploration of the UKK National Park of Saariselkä, where you will be guided through the serene and pristine landscapes. Our knowledgeable guide will provide insights into the park’s ecosystem and its historical significance, enhancing your appreciation of this beautiful wilderness.
After the trek, you will enjoy a delicious Lappish lunch at Kaunispää Fell, where stunning views of Saariselkä await. An unforgettable experience! The snowshoe hike through the snow-covered forests of Saariselkä was magical: silent, enchanting landscapes, perfectly guided by Julian and Giulia, both excellent and incredibly friendly. After the hike, we enjoyed a delicious, authentic Finnish lunch, rich in local flavors. The day concluded with a traditional Finnish sauna and ice bathing, a regenerating and unique experience. Everything was meticulously crafted and very traditional: a must-try to experience the true Lapland atmosphere!
