What to Expect

Navigate along the central canal of Aveiro and discover this beautiful city on board of a typical Moliceiro boat. You will enjoy wonderful views of the four main urban canals while passing key points of interest that you can observe from the river, such as museums, art centres, emblematic buildings, statues and sculptures, architectural and historical sights, as well as being able to appreciate traditional Portuguese buildings and houses along the route.

You will navigate along the historic Ria de Aveiro aboard our traditional Moliceiro boat, a motorboat with a capacity for 20 passengers, very similar to a Venetian gondola, which in the past was used to transport and collect ‘moliço’, a type of seaweed abundant in the region used as fertiliser. During the trip, you will be accompanied by our guides, who will show you the sights and tell you some of the secrets of this beautiful city.

How to Get There

We meet in front of the boat, at the dock in the Central Canal, 10 minutes before departure. If you come by car, you will find paid car parks nearby. The meeting point is also easily accessible by public transportation.
