Enjoy the Greek sun and the beautiful beaches with our boat trip to Agioi Theodoroi and Lazaretta! In half a day, we will show you the best spots of these islands near Chania.
We will start our trip in the Old Venetian Port of Chania. From here, we will navigate towards our first stop, Theodorou Island. The island is a nature reserve, famous for the Cretan kri-kri goats, and its recognition as an Important Bird Area by BirdLife International. Our first stop is into the little bay of the island to swim and snorkel. Our crew will gladly tell you all about these animals and the history of the island. Afterwards, we will visit a German airplane wreck that was used in the Second World War. Here, you will have 30 minutes to swim and snorkel in the refreshing waters and observe the fish that live underneath the water surface.
Then it is time to go to our last stop, Lazaretta. This small island with crystal clear water and two sandy beaches is the perfect place for another swim and snorkel stop. At Lazaretta you will be able to explore and learn about different species of Mediterranean fish and even have the chance to feed them. If you want, you can also visit the island by swimming to the shore. During the trip, we provide a lunch including sandwiches, donuts, juice, and a shot of the Cretan drink raki for you to enjoy. Manos (the captain) and Lucas were incredibly friendly; they constantly checked on everyone to make sure they were okay. They shared a lot of history about Chania and Crete. The boat was fantastic, and there were a maximum of 15 of us. The stops were also great, with Lazaretta Island being my favorite. There were lots of fish and much more to see. At this stop, Manos even dived and brought two spider crabs (related to starfish) to the boat, explaining them in detail. We even had sandwiches on board. This tour is highly recommended and suitable for children. I would definitely do it again.
