Go on an extra special excursion during your holiday in Corfu and join our guided dives at Othonoi Island for certified divers. Use this opportunity to log some dives while you discover some of the most fantastic dive sites in all of Greece. If you hold an Open Water Diver certification (or any certification above that), this full-day trip is for you. Look forward to an opportunity to see shipwrecks and a spectacular cavern that are home to a multitude of different marine species that all live off the shores of Othonoi Island. Furthermore, this trip also includes a stop at Mathraki Island on the way back to Corfu for some dinner and a chance to chill out on the White Beach.
Dive areaOthonoi Island is a small island located northwest of Corfu. There are three dive sites that we go to: Two shipwrecks and an underwater cavern. The water temperature in this area usually lies between 17 and 25 Degrees Celsius with high visibility. As such, it is an ideal place for all certified divers, no matter whether they have just gotten their Open Water Diver certification or whether they are a dive master with years of experience.
Programme
We meet at our dive centre at 10:00 am, there is free parking available. We will start by taking care of all the paperwork - i.e. checking your certificate and logbook and filling out the medical statement. We will also prepare some rental equipment for you, should you require some. Before getting in the boat, your dive master or instructor will talk you through a full site briefing, and you will be separated into 'buddy' teams based on your level of experience. Then, we will hop on our boat and head out Othonoi Island which takes us around 50 minutes. Our dives themselves last for 45 to 50 minutes, and we always go for two dives at two different dive sites. Between dives, we offer snacks and drinks on the boat. After the second dive, we will make our way back to our dive centre, stopping off at Mathraki Island to chill out on the beach and to enjoy dinner at a local tavern.
