This 13-km canoe or kayak trip is our favourite. Indeed, this part of the Vézère is the richest and most diversified: it offers exceptional natural landscapes, ancient villages, and majestic castles all along. A river configuration gives you the opportunity to alternate small rapids and deep, calm zones. From the age of 5 years old, this getaway will delight young children because it is an opportunity to have fun with your family in an idyllic setting. Take the time to swim or stop to admire the natural and historical heritage of the Périgord Noir.
Tour programme- Preparation:
We meet at our base in Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère 15 minutes before the booked time. There you will be welcomed by our team who will brief you on the descent, safety instructions, and equipment. Then our shuttle bus will take you to the Losse Castle for your departure.
- Tour:
At your own pace, in your kayak or in a group in your canoe, discover this 13-km long route, with its natural landscapes and historical sites with its famous castles such as Castle of Losse with its medieval fortresses or the castle of Belcayre.
- Return:
Once you arrive at La Roque Saint-Christophe, a prehistoric site known for its troglodyte habitats, you can stop at our beacon to join your shuttle bus which is waiting for you every hour until 6 pm to take you back to our base.
