Meeting & Preparation
We meet directly at Carcavelos Beach, near the Casa da Praia restaurant. From the train station, it is only another 5-minute walk down to the beach. You will receive your board and your wetsuit and you can use the public facilities to get changed. I had never stood on a surfboard before and just wanted to try it out.
The instructors were super nice and competent and really got involved with the participants. The group was split for the second and third sessions so that I could build on my “previous knowledge and skills” from the first session.
I felt safe and well looked after at all times. I also quickly made contact with the other participants (international). The beach in Carcavelos is great for surfing or any other beach sport.
I would go again anytime and absolutely recommend it!
