Goal of the course
The PADI Scuba Diver course teaches you the basics of scuba diving and qualifies you to join appropriately supervised scuba diving excursions to a depth of 12m. Furthermore, holding the PADI Scuba Diver certification means you only need to complete the second half of the PADI Open Water Diver course, should you choose to do so in the future.
Meeting & Preparation
We meet at our dive centre at 08:30 am where we will take care of all the formalities such as filling out the PADI Medical Statement. After that, you will meet your instructor and get started with your first theory lesson in our classroom – a prerequisite to your first practical dive experience that takes place later in the day.
Course content
- Day 1: 2 Theory lessons + Practice in the pool or in a shallow part of the bay
- Day 2: Theory Lesson + Practice in the pool or in a shallow part of the bay
- Day 3: Open Water Dive 1 + Open Water Dive 2
Note: The order and length of the individual parts of the course can change and will be individually adapted by the instructor.

Can I take part if I can't swim, and are life jackets/floating devices provided (including for kids)?
No, the ability to swim is a requirement to participate in this course.
What certification will I get at the end of the course?
You will receive a PADI Scuba Diver certification, which allows you to dive to a depth of 12 m under appropriate supervision. This certification is the first half of the full PADI Open Water Diver course.
