During our guided sea kayaking tour with local experts you explore the little paradise of Vila Franca do Campo islet, which is the crater of an ancient submerged volcanoe. Kayaking enables you to get close to the spectacular cliffs, magical caves and untouched beaches of the island and provides you with a great physical workout at the same time. Thanks to our stable family kayaks, that fit up to 2 adults with 1 child, our kayak excursion is also perfectly suitable for families with kids from 6 years.
Tour programme- Preparation:
We meet at the Marina de Vila Franco do Campo at the booked time. Before the tour starts, your guides will provide you with the necessary equipment and give you a safety briefing.
- Tour:
From the marina, we paddle towards the islet of Vila Franco do Campo in a group of up to 12 participants. There you will have the opportunity to discover the island, and to swim and snorkel in the Atlantic. After kayaking around the island, we start the return journey to Vila Franco do Campo.
- Return:
We reach our initial starting point after around 3 hours, depending on the weather conditions and group skills.

- The islet of Vila Franca is a Protected Area, therefore there are some restrictions on access according to the time of year:
From April 15th to June 8th - Walking and snorkeling inside the islet are not allowed.
From June 9th to October 31st - No restrictions (walking and snorkeling are permitted).
From November to April 14th - Only walking inside the islet is permitted (snorkeling inside and outside the islet is not allowed).
