Details
Revel in the beautiful underwater world off of Crete's northern coast with its unique flora and fauna on a guided scuba diving excursion by boat. We at Diver's Club Crete will take you to see the most fascinating dive sites within a 20 km radius from Agia Pelagia - Heraklion. Enjoy the crystal clear water of the Aegean sea with its warm temperatures, its excellent visibility and its abundant wildlife that includes for example corals, starfish, octopuses, morays, lobsters and much much more. In fact, you might even stumble across some sunken artefacts such as ancient amphorae. So pay us a visit and see for yourself what our submarine landscape has to offer!
Dive area
We have a selection of outstanding dive sites located along the northern coast of Crete, which are easily reachable by boat. We have the choice between sites like El Greco Cave, El Greco Reef, Stavros Cape, Mononaftis, Big Anchor, Blue Cave, Daedalos, Messerschmitt Wreck and Dia Island. All these dive sites offer a great variety of things to see and explore. Whichever dive site we choose to visit, you surely won't be disappointed.
Programme- Meeting & Preparation:We meet at our dive centre at 09:15 am. This allows us to take care of all the pre-dive formalities and for you to be given a detailed pre-dive briefing. If you need to rent some equipment, you'll have enough time to try on your wetsuit etc. At 10:00 am, we get in our boat and head out to the first chosen dive site of the day. If you haven't had the opportunity to go scuba diving within the last year, we will ask you to take part in a quick 3h refresher course at our house reef, right in front of our dive centre. This will then allow you to join a boat diving excursion in the afternoon (departure time 01:00 pm).
- Diving:
Once in the water, you can explore the surroundings and enjoy the beauty of the underwater biosphere. All our excursions are accompanied by a certified Divemaster, who will guide you around the dive site and show you its most interesting features.
- Return:
At the end of the dive, we get back on the boat and head back to our dive centre on Agia Pelagia Beach. If you've booked a dive package with multiple dives, you can join the second dive of the day at 13:00.

The pick-up service starts every day at 08:00, depending on the area, and the drop off to your accommodation starts at about 15:30 and is included as well.
*Please book the start day for your first dive. The additional dives can be arranged individually with your dive centre after completed booking or can simply be done on the following days.

What marine life might I see on this activity?
During your dive, you can expect to see a variety of marine life such as corals, starfish, octopuses, morays, and lobsters. You might also come across ancient sunken artefacts, like amphorae.

Where and when do we meet?
You should meet at the dive centre in Agia Pelagia at 9:15 am.
What if I haven't dived in a while?
If you have not been scuba diving within the last year, you will be asked to take a 3-hour refresher course at the house reef. You can then join a boat dive in the afternoon.
How big are the diving groups?
Each certified divemaster guides a group of up to 6 divers. If the divers are less experienced, the group size is reduced to 4.
