Make the most of your stay on the Basque coast to improve your surfing skills! Our surf lessons in Hendaye for experienced surfers take place all year round, and are available from 13 years old. We offer competent instructors, a friendly atmosphere and a magnificent setting on one of the most beautiful beaches in the Basque Country. Our groups of maximum 8 surfers offer you ideal surfing conditions to deepen your technical and practical knowledge.
Meeting & Preparation
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at our base directly at the beach, right in the centre of Hendaye. Here, you can change and store your belongings in one of the 50 lockers that are at your disposal. Your instructor will give you your wetsuit as well as a short briefing about the lesson. Then, all you have to do is grab a nice board, and follow your instructor to the sea!
The advantage of Hendaye beach is that the starting times of our lessons do not depend on its tides. Since the beach is quite large, your instructor will choose a suitable place on the beach. Another little bonus: you don't have to be able to swim! You can walk up to 20 m into the waters of Hendaye beach and you will always be able to stand!

As an advanced surfer, you will learn more about choosing the right location, and the tides. You will also learn how to correctly position yourself in front of a wave, how a wave can unfold and how to push through a wave. You will also have an in-depth knowledge of the environment.

Do I need to be a good swimmer, and what's the minimum age?
You don't need to be able to swim for this course, as you can always stand in the water. The minimum age to participate is 13 years.

The lesson times are fixed and do not depend on the tides. You will be in a small group with a maximum of 8 participants.
