Italy A must-see, wonderful beaches. The boat takes you first to one beach and then to the other. In July, it was obviously crowded, and we didn't always find a seat, but its purpose is primarily to be a means of transportation, so that's fine. You can also eat on board by purchasing food and drinks on the spot, but we didn't try anything.

France Small group tour, with the option of an early departure (8:30 am) allowing you to arrive in Balos before the tourist crowds. Very welcoming staff and a picnic lunch included – very convenient.
United Kingdom Quality Travel Crete is a great company to book through. They are helpful and informative. The trip itself is a must do. Both places are incredibly beautiful. It was a bumpy boat ride so if you get a little sea sick, just be aware to take medication. The boat was also busy so get on it earlier to secure a seat, especially when sitting upstairs. We would love to do this again in a quieter season to enjoy the islands a bit more but the scenery is really breath taking.
