What to Expect

Embark on a private day trip from Fes to the historic sites of Volubilis and Meknes, where you will explore ancient Roman ruins and the grandeur of Morocco's imperial city at your own pace. Upon arrival in Volubilis in the mid-morning, you will discover the ancient Roman ruins, including the basilica, triumphal arch, and impressive mosaics, with the option to explore with or without a local guide. Following this, you will hop back in the Jeep to visit the hilltop town of Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, which overlooks Volubilis. Here, you can enjoy panoramic views, explore the town centre, and take a break for lunch or a snack. In the afternoon, continue to Meknes to tour the Imperial City, visiting highlights such as the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, the expansive stables, granary, underground prison, Mansour Gate, the covered market, and El Hidem Square. Finally, you will return to Fes via the highway, arriving back at your hotel in the late afternoon or evening.
