About the Activity
What to Expect
Experience a personalised surfing adventure and make the best possible progress in surfing with our private surf lessons in Carcavelos! Choose to surf at either Praia de Carcavelos or Praia do Infante. At the beginning of the lesson, you will meet your surf instructor and receive all the equipment you need for surfing. You will talk about your previous surfing experience and your personal goals. After a warm-up and learning about important surfing basics and safety rules, it’s off into the water! The total duration of the lesson is about two hours, with roughly one hour spent in the water. Thanks to the particularly personalised support, you will make the best possible progress, ensuring you can really enjoy your time in the water. At the end of the class, there is a stretching session to wrap things up.
Our surf centre offers a space to store your personal belongings and also provides fresh water showers for you to rinse off after your lesson. This offer is ideal for beginners and intermediate surfers looking to improve their skills.In this course, beginners will learn all the important surfing basics such as the take-off technique, rowing on a surfboard, and catching their first waves. Advanced surfers will focus on catching green waves, surfing right and left, and catching waves by themselves. Each day of the course is designed to build on your skills, ensuring you gain confidence and improve your technique.

Meeting place: either at Praia de Carcavelos or Praia do Infante (depending on the option you have chosen).

Start time
The start time depends on the tides to ensure the best conditions. Therefore, please plan to allocate some extra time on the day of your surf lesson. Please contact us one or two days before your surf lessons take place. Your surf instructor will inform you of the correct start time then (courses can start from 9 a.m.).
