What to Expect

Learn to ride the stunning waves of the Atlantic Ocean in a private atmosphere and with full attention of your personal instructor with our private surf lessons in the amazing region of Sintra! Whether you're new to surfing and eager to get on the board for the first time, or an experienced surfer looking to enhance your skills, this is the perfect opportunity. With a professional expert by your side, you can achieve your personal goals and create unforgettable memories.

Alone or in a small group of maximum 5 participants, our professional surf instructors can focus on each participant and create a safe and enjoyable environment. First, you will start your session with a warm-up in the sand. You will then learn the most important theoretical basics about surfing and your surroundings. Afterwards, you will practise applying this knowledge and refine your technique on land. Once in the water, you will be able to try standing on the board and catch your first waves, or improve your existing skills with some new tips and tricks. Both ways, you can expect hours of adventure at the beach, which you will leave enriched by many new experiences.

How To Get There

• Meeting place: We meet at the selected beach, depending on the tides to ensure the best conditions (Praia das Maçãs, Praia Grande, beaches of Carcavelos, Colares or Sintra). You will be informed about the exact meeting place in advance.

• Meeting time: 15 minutes before the start of the activity

• Pick up: please contact us after completing the booking, if you wish to make use of our pick up service (at a surcharge of round-trip shuttle to the airport: €80 per trip per person)

• Paid car parks at the meeting place (beach of Carcavelos)

• Free car parks at the meeting place (Praia das Maçãs, Praia Grande, beaches of Colares or Sintra)

Start time

• The start time depends on the tides to ensure the best conditions, so please plan some extra time on the day of your surf lessons. The exact start times are available 1 days in advance. We will inform you in time after you have completed the booking.

Course content

• Theory session on the beach

• The right warm-up

• Practice on the beach

• Practice in the sea: approx. 1.5 hours

• The approach to each of our students depends on their level as well as their individual expectations

Surfing beginners at our school are typically able to:

- After 1 day: catch a wave and stand up on the board
