Portugal's Atlantic coast is known for its windy weather and high waves, making it an ideal playground for surfing enthusiasts. Our private surfing lessons are ideal for anyone who wants an individually tailored surfing experience to either learn to surf or to improve their surfing skills. The Algarve region with beaches in places like Arrifana, Monte Clerigo, or Amoreira is one of Europe's best surfing hotspots and is, therefore, the perfect destination for your surfing adventure.
Meeting & Preparation
Depending on the weather conditions, we meet either at our office on Praia de Monte Clérigo or at our surf camp in Arrifana. If you arrive by car, parking is widely available nearby.
The start time of the course can vary, as we are dependent on the tides for optimum conditions. As such, please plan some extra time to accommodate any changes in schedule. We will contact you in time with the exact start times after you have booked your course. Depending on the weather conditions, we might drive you to one of the other beaches in Aljezur, Arrifana, Vale Da Telha, or Amoreira.

You need to have swimming ability to participate. The minimum age for this activity is 7 years.
Why can the time of my lesson change, and how big is the group?
The start time depends on the tides to ensure optimal surfing conditions. As these are private lessons, the group consists only of you and your instructor.
Is equipment included, and what do I need to bring?
A wetsuit and a surfboard are included in the price. You should bring your own swimwear, a towel and sun cream.
Where do we meet for the activity?
Depending on the weather conditions, the meeting point is either at the office on Praia de Monte Clérigo or at the surf camp in Arrifana.
